The problem lies with the fact that the lever, if not tightened properly, could come loose and fall into the brake disc causing the wheel to stop suddenly.
As a mechanic I maintain that this could happen to ANY make of bike with the same setup. I've issued a notice in various places that I will set up any bike that has a front disc and quick release so that this will not happen. I will also educate the rider on how to maintain the proper settings.
